For third consecutive day, Israeli forces isolate 12 villages and hamlets south of Hebron

HEBRON, October 25, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continued for the third consecutive day to isolate 12 villages and hamlets in Masafer Yatta region, south of Hebron.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces continued to block the main road leading to around 12 villages after closing an iron gate and the only main route connecting the communities of al-Zuweidin, al-Najada, al-Kaabneh and Hameida, among others, leaving them besieged.

The closure has also cut off residents of the hamlets of al-Fakheit, Mughayer al-Obeid, al-Tabbana and al-Thaala, along with other communities across Masafer Yatta.

Residents and farmers are facing increasingly difficult conditions as the communities remain completely cut off from urban centers and markets. Educational activities have been disrupted, with around 50 teachers unable to reach their schools.

Dozens of patients who require daily medical care have also been unable to reach hospitals and medical centers, putting their lives at risk and threatening further deterioration in their health.

The closure has inflicted significant losses on the agricultural sector and livestock breeders, who are unable to reach livestock markets or bring in essential feed and veterinary medicines for their sheep.
