GAZA, August 31, 2026 (WAFA) — Medical sources in the Gaza Strip said on Monday that the death toll from the Israeli assault on the Strip has risen to 73,456, with 174,496 people injured, since the assault began on October 7, 2023.
They said hospitals in the Strip received two fatalities and 10 injured people over the past 24 hours.
They added that the total number of fatalities since the ceasefire was announced on October 11 last year has risen to 1,320, while the number of injured has reached 4,385, in addition to 815 bodies being recovered.
The sources noted that a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and rescue teams remain unable to reach and recover them.
