Israeli forces continue large-scale assault on Hebron, forcibly displacing Palestinian families

HEBRON, October 24, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continued their sweeping assault on the Hebron governorate on Saturday evening, raiding neighborhoods, searching homes and forcibly displacing Palestinian families.

Israeli forces continued to seal off all entrances to Hebron city, its refugee camps, towns and villages, while pursuing residents and their vehicles through streets and neighborhoods and assaulting Palestinians.

Meantime, local sources said Israeli forces stormed several neighborhoods in the town of Dura, focusing on the Krisa area, where they raided homes, including those belonging to current and former Palestinian prisoners.

Several residents also suffered from suffocation after inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli forces near the Fahs area south of Hebron.

Since yesterday, Israeli forces have forced around 1,500 Palestinians to leave their homes in the Deir Baha and al-Jilda areas of Hebron, with plans to displace another 2,500 residents in the coming hours, as part of the ongoing assault on the governorate.

The assault has displaced more than 200 families, leaving them without shelter.
