ISTANBUL, October 24, 2026 (WAFA) – Foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Egypt and Pakistan, forming the four-nation group, said the Israeli occupation is the primary source of instability in the region and beyond, adding that Israeli policies have deepened a widespread sense of injustice among global public opinion.
During a meeting held in Istanbul on Friday, the ministers called for the immediate implementation of the two-state solution in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions.
They reaffirmed their support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their inalienable right to self-determination and to establish an independent, sovereign, viable and territorially contiguous Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with relevant UN Security Council resolutions, toward achieving comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
The ministers called for an immediate halt to continued Israeli violence, an end to attempts to alter Jerusalem’s legal and historical status, and measures to prevent further destruction and humanitarian suffering in Palestine.
They also condemned past and ongoing colonial activities in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, as well as colonist crimes against Palestinians. They stressed the urgent need to ensure the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid and the reconstruction of Gaza.
