BETHLEHEM, October 24, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Saturday closed dirt roads leading to the town of Tuqu, southeast of Bethlehem, and fired tear gas and stun grenades at Palestinian vehicles near the town.
Palestinian security sources told WAFA that the forces placed illegal vehicles at the entrances to dirt roads leading to Tuqu to block access. They also fired tear gas and stun grenades at Palestinian vehicles traveling along rough roads near the town.
Israeli forces continue to close numerous roads and entrances to Bethlehem city and its towns and villages, forcing Palestinians to use dirt tracks and rough roads to reach their destinations and making travel between communities across the governorate increasingly difficult.
