RAMALLAH, August 31, 2026 (WAFA) — The Palestinian Meteorological Department forecast today, Monday, normal summer weather, partly cloudy to clear, with temperatures rising to around their annual average. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, and sea waves will be low to moderate.
In the evening and overnight hours, the weather will be partly cloudy to clear, pleasant in the mountainous areas and warm in the remaining areas. Winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, and sea waves will be low.
On Tuesday, the weather will be hot in mountainous areas and very hot in the remaining areas, with temperatures rising further to above their annual average. Winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, and sea waves will be low to moderate.
On Wednesday, hot weather will continue in mountainous areas and very hot weather in the remaining areas, with a slight rise in temperatures to around 4°C above their annual average. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, and sea waves will be low to moderate.
Additioanlly on Thursday, the weather will be hot in mountainous areas and very hot elsewhere, with high humidity in most areas. Temperatures will remain unchanged at around 4°C above their annual average. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, and sea waves will be low.
The Meteorological Department warned of the risk of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during peak hours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., starting fires in areas with abundant dry grass, and leaving children or elderly people inside closed vehicles.
