JORDAN VALLEY, Monday, May 16, 2022 (WAFA) – The work of Palestinian farmers in their lands in Humsa community in the northern Jordan Valley was obstructed today by Israeli occupation forces, according to the head of Atouf/al-Ras al-Ahmar village council Abdullah Bisharat.
He told WAFA that soldiers obstructed the work of the farmers in picking up their crops and confiscated a tractor used by one of the farmers for several hours before releasing it.
This is the second day in a row Israeli forces obstruct the work of Palestinian farmers in the northern Jordan Valley.
Further south and near the city of Jericho, Israeli occupation forces destroyed a fence built around a house in the village of al-Diyouk al-Tahta, north of Jericho, and also demolished a storage room.
According to Issam Samrat, a local activist, the house owner, who is a resident of Jerusalem, received a demolition order against the fence and the room three days ago under the pretext of construction without a permit in an area classified as C, which is under full Israeli military control.
