JERUSALEM, September 28, 2026 (WAFA) – Jerusalem witnessed severe traffic congestion this morning, coinciding with measures taken by the occupation forces to secure the movement of colonists during the third day of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
The Governorate explained that the occupation forces closed the Wadi al-Rababa intersection in the Silwan neighborhood as students were heading to school, causing a severe traffic jam in the surrounding streets.
They also closed Bab al-Asbat Street towards Bab al-Rahma Cemetery and Bab al-Maghariba.
Closures are expected to extend to several roads leading to the Western Wall, coinciding with the holding of collective Jewish rituals and prayers. This will exacerbate traffic congestion and impede the movement of residents in the Old City and its surroundings.
