JENIN, Saturday, August 28, 2021 (WAFA) – A Palestinian resistance fighter who is serving two life terms in Israeli prisons has completed 32 years behind bars, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS).
Raed Saadi, 51, from al-Sileh al-Harthiyeh town, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, was arrested on August 28, 1989, and sentenced to two life terms plus 20 years for his resistance activity against the Israeli occupation.
Saadi was wanted by the Israeli army for several years before he was captured in 1989 in his town.
He is one of more than 4500 Palestinians serving time in Israel for their resistance and political activity against the occupation.
