RAMALLAH, Friday, November 20, 2020 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained two Palestinians today from Ramallah and Hebron districts, according to security sources.

They confirmed that Israeli forces detained a Palestinian paramedic as he was attempting to provide medical treatment for Palestinians participating in a rally in Kafr Malek village, east of Ramallah.

The paramedic detention took place as the occupation forces violently dispersed the participants of the rally called for to defend the villagers’ lands threatened with confiscation at Ras al-Tin area to make room for the construction of a new Israeli colonial settlement outpost.

In Hebron district, Israeli forces rounded up a Palestinian from Farsh Batn al-Hawa area, west of the city.

The detainee was identified as a resident of Beit Kahel town, west of the city.

Meanwhile, Israeli police rounded up three Palestinians from Rahat city in southern Israel. They were also identified as residents of Beit Kahel town.

Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
