BEIRUT, March 28, 2026 (WAFA) – The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 1,189, with 3,427 injured, according to a daily report issued by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health's Emergency Operations Center.
The ministry confirmed that journalist Ali Shoaib from Al-Manar TV, media professional Fatima Ftouni and her brother, photographer Abbas Ftouni, along with another civilian were killed in an Israeli airstrike which hit a car in the town of Jezzine, south of the country.
Earlier, a man and his son were killed after Israeli forces fired heavily at their vehicle in the Al-Awainat area between the towns of Rmeish and Dibl.
Israeli warplanes also carried out airstrikes on Yater, Beit Yahoun, Toulin, and Fron. The attacks have continued across southern Lebanon, resulting in casualties and widespread damage to buildings and infrastructure.
Earlier on Saturday, Israeli aircraft targeted the San Teriz area in the Dahiyeh district of Beirut. The Israeli army also issued evacuation orders for residents of seven southern villages—Maashuq, Burj al-Chamali, Rashidiya, Deir Kifa, Kaakoua al-Jisr, Wadi Jilo, and Al-Bass—directing them to move north of the Zahrani River.
In addition, Israeli air and artillery strikes targeted the towns of Qalayweh, Zarariyah, Khiam, Fron, Kaakoua al-Jisr, Yater, Majdal Zoun, Tayr Harfa, Al-Qulayyilah, Al-Hiniyah, Arnoun, Al-Mansouri, Kafr, Al-Tiri, and Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon.
