JERUSALEM, September 7, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces demolished a house in the town of Beit Hanina, north of occupied Jerusalem, on Monday.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that bulldozers belonging to the Israeli municipality demolished a house in Beit Hanina belonging to the Abu Mayaleh family.

The occupation authorities had previously issued demolition orders for five houses north of occupied Jerusalem, including one near the Jaba' military checkpoint. The owner was given 24 hours to evacuate the house before its demolition, despite having already received a demolition order and appealing the decision to the Israeli courts.

The occupation authorities also issued evacuation orders for four other houses in the Coptic Quarter of al-Ram, giving them two days to evacuate before their demolition.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli occupation authorities carried out 71 demolitions during August, targeting 155 structures. These included 47 inhabited homes, eight uninhabited homes, 33 livelihood facilities, 61 agricultural structures, and six other structures. The authorities also issued 44 demolition orders targeting Palestinian properties and structures.

These demolitions directly affected at least 200 Palestinians, including 75 children and 56 women.
