Colonists transport timber to outposts near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, Sept. 7, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday transported timber to several colonial outposts near Shaab al-Louz, west of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, according to eyewitnesses.

They said that colonists carted quantities of timber toward Shaab al-Louz, also written as Shi'b Louz, to expedite the construction of several colonial outposts in the area, raising Palestinians’ concerns over the establishment of new structures and the expansion of existing outposts.

This came amid escalating attacks and attempts by colonists, protected by the occupying forces, to seize large tracts of Palestinian-owned land in the area.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
