JORDAN VALLEY, September 7, 2026 (WAFA) – An Israeli occupation court on Monday rejected appeals to halt the demolition of Palestinian structures in the northern Jordan Valley, according to an activist.

Mutaz Basharat of the Tubas Governorate said the occupation authorities rejected appeals submitted by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) and Tubas Governorate to halt the demolition of residential and agricultural structures belonging to eight Palestinians in the northern Jordan Valley.

Basharat added that the occupation authorities are racing against time to carry out the largest demolition campaign in the Jordan Valley as part of a systematic policy aimed at uprooting Palestinians from their lands.

Israel and illegal Israeli Jewish supremacist colonists are accelerating efforts to impose new realities throughout the occupied West Bank, extending colonial settlement expansion and land seizures increasingly into areas classified under the Oslo Accords as Areas A and B.

The measures include settlement construction, new outposts, road building, land confiscation, control over water sources and growing restrictions on Palestinians’ movement and access to their land.

The expansion is significant because Israel’s colonial settlement project has historically been concentrated overwhelmingly in Area C, which remained under full Israeli control following the Oslo Accords. The increasing extension of Israeli colonies and administrative measures into Areas A and B further threatens geographical continuity between Palestinian cities, towns and communities.
