GAZA, September 7, 2026 (WAFA) – A child and a young man died on Monday from wounds sustained in Israeli fire and bombing in the Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondent reported that six-year-old Daoud Muqata died today from wounds he suffered weeks ago when Israeli forces shot him in the Zarqa area, north of the Gaza Strip.
He added that Subhi al-Batrikhi died from wounds sustained in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a group of civilians last night near the communications intersection in the Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
Earlier today, two fishermen were wounded when Israeli gunboats opened fire on their boats while they were working off the coast of Gaza City.
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced yesterday, Sunday, that the death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Strip has risen to 73,651 while 174,592 others were wounded since October 7, 2023.
They added that the number of slain Palestinians since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 1,344, in addition to 4,481 wounded, while 826 bodies have been recovered.
