RAMALLAH, Saturday, January 14, 2023 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh today called for providing international protection for the Palestinian people following Israel’s murder earlier today of two Palestinians near Jenin and the death of a third of wounds sustained from Israeli army gunfire two weeks ago.
As the death toll of Palestinians killed by Israel has reached 12 in the first 14 days of the new year, including three minors, Shtayyeh said in a statement that the world should take a clear stand from these crimes against the Palestinian people, including providing international protection.
Palestinians fear that as the new far-right government in Israel takes hold and starts implementing harsh measures against the occupied Palestinian people demanded by extremist and fascist cabinet members, and without a clear and stern international stand from these measures, the situation in the occupied territories is going to get worse in the coming weeks and months.
