RAMALLAH, Monday, March 14, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers' violations against Palestinians and their properties in several areas in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem hit the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida, al-Ayyam and al-Quds said that Israeli settlers began building new housing units in the illegal Israeli settlement of Shadmot Mehola in the northern Jordan Valley.
They added that an armed Israeli settler opened gunfire at a girls' school in the village of Tuqu in the occupied West Bank province of Bethlehem, spreading fear among the schoolchildren.
President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated the new South Korean President-elect Yoon Suk-Yeol on his victory in his country's presidential election, according to al-Hayat al-Jadida.

Al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida said that Adalah – The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel filed an appeal against the law the Israeli Knesset passed recently that bars Palestinian family reunification.
Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said that 192 new cases of COVID-19, four deaths and 629 recoveries were registered in Palestine during the last 24 hours, according to the dailies.
Al-Quds also highlighted the war in Ukraine, talking about an escalation in the war and Russia announcing that 180 mercenaries were killed near the borders with Poland.
It said Jewish fanatic groups are preparing to break into Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam's third holiest site located inside the Old City of Jerusalem, during Purim holiday, as Muslim religious leaders call for a large presence of worshippers at the Mosque on these days to foil attempts by the Jewish fanatics to change the centuries-old status quo at the Mosque as a Muslim-only holy place.
It also said that the Israeli security leadership expects an escalation on the ground in the occupied territories during the holy fast month of Ramadan, which starts early April.
Al-Quds also said that the Israeli archelogy authority surveyed more than 400 caves in the West Bank.
Al-Ayyam said the Iranian Revolutionary Guards attacked a "strategic" Israeli center in Erbil, Iraq.
It said Turkey denied Israeli claims that it handed Israel an archeological rock from Silwan.
it said the Palestinian lawyers have suspended work in the West Bank courts demanding a review of the recently-passed laws.
