HEBRON, June 15, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday erected mobile homes to serve as the nucleus of a new colonial outpost in Hebron’s Jabal a-Rahma neighborhood, according to WAFA correspondent.
He reported that colonists, protected by Israeli forces, set up three caravans on Palestinian-owned land in Jabal a-Rahma, a neighborhood overlooking the Old City of Hebron, as a means to seize vast tracts of Palestinian-owned and forcibly displace Palestinians.
During 2025, colonists had erected two caravans at the same area and adjacent to Ar-Rayyan Mosque.
Meanwhile, the occupying forces handed the owners of the Tmeizi stone-cutting factories, east of Idhna, notices, ordering them to immediately evacuate their enterprise.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
