TULKARM, November 4, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces raided the area surrounding the Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm, in the occupied West Bank, on Wednesday evening and carried out extensive searches.
Eyewitnesses told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed and ransacked the home of Mohammed Ibrahim Shahada, secretary of Fatah in Tulkarm refugee camp, located behind the hospital. They said this was the third time the house had been raided since Shahada’s detention.
Israeli special forces detained Shahada, 46, last September after opening live fire at his vehicle in the eastern neighborhood of Tulkarm.
In a related development, Israeli forces placed a warning sign at the entrance to al-Balawneh neighborhood in Tulkarm refugee camp, prohibiting entry on the grounds that the camp is a closed military zone.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli forces forced 25 families from their homes in the western area adjacent to al-Hadida neighborhood near the camp and converted several homes into military barracks.
