HANOI, September 21, 2011 (WAFA) – Vietnam affirmed its support on Wednesday of the Palestinian bid to the United Nations to seek full membership and recognition of a Palestinian state later this week, according to a Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokesperson.
In a statement, he said that Vietnam had already recognized the Palestinian state in 1988 and that it always supported regional and international efforts aimed towards the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.
