HEBRON, June 9, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces attacked participants on Tuesday in a protest held in Khirbet Hamsa, west of Hebron, rejecting plans aimed at seizing large areas of land for settlement expansion.
The head of Al-Kum village council, Ahmed Rajoub, said that Israeli forces, which continue to construct and rehabilitate settlement roads in the Hamsa and Soba areas, assaulted residents, farmers, and representatives of municipalities and institutions who were demonstrating on their lands in rejection of these plans that seek to confiscate thousands of dunums.
He added that the forces beat participants, detained several of them, and fired live ammunition, stun grenades, and tear gas at them, with no reported injuries.
