CAIRO, January 24, 2011 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Monday held talks with his Egyptian counterpart Hosni Mubarak at the presidential headquarters east of Cairo.

Talks between the two leaders addressed the developments in the peace process in light of the stalled negotiations, the Palestinian and Arab efforts to adopt a resolution by the UN Security Council that condemns Israeli settlement, results of Russian president Dmitry Medvedev's visit to Palestine and national dialogue sponsored by Egypt and bilateral relations.

The meeting was held in the presence of key Palestinian and Egyptian figures.
