RAMALLAH, February 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities issued a military order early on Sunday mandating the forced displacement of a Bedouin community near the town of Al-Mughayir, east of Ramallah, and detained three international activists.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces raided the Abu Najeh Al-Ka'abneh community to the south of the town, delivering orders to the 40 residents to leave within 48 hours, declaring the area a closed military zone.

The sources added that three foreign activists of different nationalities were detained before the forces withdrew from the area.

Recently, the Bedouin community of Shallal Al-Auja, north of Jericho, also experienced a full forced displacement after years of ongoing harassment and violence by Israeli settlers, culminating yesterday with the eviction of the last three remaining families. This completed the displacement of all approximately 120 Palestinian families in the community.

The displacement of Shallal Al-Auja occurred in multiple stages rather than as a single event, with families compelled to leave their homes and tents gradually under continuous settler violence and systematic intimidation aimed at breaking the resilience of the residents and forcing their expulsion.
