JORDAN VALLEY, February 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists erected a new tent overnight near Palestinian residents' tents in Khirbet Samra, a Bedouin hamlet in the northern Jordan Valley, northeast of the occupied West Bank.
Local sources told WAFA that a group of colonists set up the tent adjacent to Palestinian dwellings in Khirbet Samra, a move that effectively seizes additional grazing and agricultural land in the area.
Residents have been facing an intense settlement campaign, backed by the Israeli occupation army, as part of a sustained pressure policy aimed at forcing Palestinians to abandon their homes and leave the area.
Khirbet Samra and other Bedouin and herding communities in the northern Jordan Valley have been subjected to escalating settler violence and expansion in recent years, including the establishment of outpost tents, land seizures, harassment of shepherds, theft of livestock, and restrictions on access to water and pasturelands.
