Israeli forces raid a home in Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, February 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, on Sunday, raiding the home of Ahmad Muhammad Hassan Halawa and the homes of his sons.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation forces entered the town with several military vehicles and deployed around the Halawa family homes before raiding the home of Ahmad Halawa and his sons, conducting a wide-scale search of the houses and the surrounding land.

The Governorate added in a statement that the occupation soldiers ransacked the contents of the homes and subjected family members to field interrogations. No arrests were reported at the time of this report.

The town of Anata witnesses frequent incursions by the occupation forces, including house raids, searches, and provocations against residents, as part of the ongoing policy of harassment against Jerusalemites.
