TULKARM, February 1, 2026 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation army placed stop-work orders on several structures and buildings under construction near the entrance to the town of Qaffin, at the Qaffin roundabout, north of Tulkarm city, on Sunday evening.
Local sources told our correspondent that the orders targeted a chalet belonging to Munawwar Muhammad Tawfiq Harsha, who had previously received similar notices, as well as a gas station owned by Mahmoud Ahmad Amarna, and two houses under construction belonging to the Amar family.
According to the notices, the orders were issued under the pretext of building without a permit. The owners of the structures were required to immediately halt work and report to the sub-committee for planning of the Higher Planning Council, pending a decision on the matter during a session scheduled for February 25, 2026.
The notices threatened further legal action, potentially including demolition, if the structures were not complied with.
