JERUSALEM, February 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that dozens of colonists performed Talmudic rituals after raiding the courtyards of the mosque under police protection.

The governorate stated that the incursion included a marriage blessing ceremony for one of the colonists, in a provocative act that violates the sanctity of the holy site.

Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam, has long been witnessing frequent Israeli provocations, including repeated raids by colonists escorted by Israeli forces, restrictions on Muslim worshippers, and attempts to assert control over the compound.
