JEDDAH, February 1, 2026 (WAFA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the ongoing atrocities committed by Israeli occupation forces against innocent civilians and displaced people in the Gaza Strip, including a recent series of airstrikes that killed 31 Palestinians and injured dozens more.
In a statement, the organization described the attacks as a serious escalation and a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement, undermining international efforts to maintain calm and implement the second phase of the agreement.
The OIC held Israel fully responsible for the consequences of the attacks and urged the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to ensure Israel fulfills its obligations and implements the second phase in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2803.
The organization also called for the opening of all crossings to allow unhindered humanitarian aid, the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, the initiation of early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza, and the relaunch of a political process aimed at ending the occupation and achieving a two-state solution.
