HEBRON, February 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Sunday seized hundreds of dunums of Palestinian-owned land in the town of Al-Dhahiriya, south of Hebron, according to local sources.
Local resident Samer Abu Sharkh said that a group of colonists, under the protection of Israeli forces, marked large areas of land belonging to the Abu Sharkh, Al-Qaisia, and Abu Allan families, among others, in preparation for establishing new colonist outposts.
The Israeli government had announced plans to establish two outposts on these lands, located near the bypass road leading to the Meitar checkpoint south of the town.
