IOF Attack Bil'in Weekly Protest
RAMALLAH, February 23, 2007 (WAFA) - Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) attacked on Friday Palestinian and international protesters demonstrating against Israel's Apartheid Wall in the West Bank village of Bil'in.
According to local sources, scores of protesters have been injured in the attack.
The demonstrations mark the two year anniversary of weekly protests held in the village to protest against Israel's separation barrier that annexes more than 60 per cent of the village's land.
Israeli troops used water canons and tear gas to disperse the demonstrators, the sources added.
Hundreds of Palestinians showed up to participate in the protest, including citizens of neighbouring villages.
They were joined by dozens of foreigners and Israelis from Israeli peace movements.
