PARIS, June 1, 2026 (WAFA) – The French government has decided to ban official Israeli participation in the Eurosatory defense exhibition, scheduled to be held in Paris later this month, preventing the participation of the Israeli Ministry of Defense or the establishment of an Israeli stand at the event.

The decision also includes a ban on the participation of representatives of the Israeli government, the prohibition of an official Israeli stand, and restrictions on the display of offensive weapons by Israeli military industries, while allowing only air defense systems and related products to be exhibited, according to a statement.

The French decision comes amid escalating tensions between Paris and Tel Aviv over the Israeli war on Lebanon and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, alongside growing French criticism of Israeli policies and the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Strip.
