JENIN, December 10, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers tore down walls and parts of a house under construction in Silat al-Dhahr, south of Jenin, Ghassan Daghlas, an official who monitors settlements in the north of the West Bank, said on Saturday.
He told WAFA that settlers came from the settlement of Homesh, which was evacuated 10 years ago, and tore down the walls of a house owned by Iyad Abu Diyak causing extensive damage.
Abu Diyak told WAFA that the settlers broke into his house, which he was in the process of building and located near the settlement, and used hammers to tear down the walls and damaged a water tank. He estimated the damage at around $4,000.
He said he had filed a complaint with the Palestinian security in Jenin.
