JERUSALEM, June 8, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Monday closed the main entrance to the town of Anata, east of occupied Jerusalem.
According to the Jerusalem Governorate, Israeli forces shut the iron gate installed at the town's entrance, disrupting the movement of residents and vehicles in and out of the area and causing significant traffic congestion.
The entrance serves as the town’s only access point, and its closure has affected the daily movement of local residents.
Palestinian officials say such measures are part of ongoing Israeli restrictions on freedom of movement in occupied Jerusalem.
