Israeli colonists tear up landscape for construction of road west of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, June 8, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday tore up the landscape for the construction of a new road in the Aboud village, west of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that colonists' escorted bulldozers to the western side of the village and razed villagers’ farmlands for over one kilometer to make room for the construction of a new road that would link recently-established colonial sites and outposts in the area.

They added that the works underway threaten the destruction and seizure of additional tracts of the villagers’ farmlands and restrict their ability to access their property.

Aboud has been repeatedly attacked by Israeli colonists and targeted by occupation authorities’ measures intended to expand colonial settlements, including the construction of new colonial roads, the razing and the seizure of large swaths of Palestinian-owned land for the benefit of Israel’s settler-colonialist project.
