Hundreds perform Friday prayers on threatened lands in Hebron district

HEBRON, June 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Hundreds of Palestinians performed Friday prayers on lands threatened with seizure by Israeli occupation authorities near the towns of Dura and Idhna in the southern West Bank district of Hebron.

According to WAFA correspondent, residents and landowners gathered in the two areas to pray on their lands, where Israeli forces have prevented farmers from accessing and cultivating their property.

The restrictions come amid ongoing attempts by Israeli colonists to take over the land, with landowners reporting repeated attacks, including the burning of trees and crops, aimed at forcing them to abandon their property and facilitating the expansion of colonial activities in the area.

Peace activists joined local residents in cleaning and maintaining the lands as part of efforts to support their continued presence and resilience.

Participants reaffirmed their attachment to their land and said they would continue to resist attempts to seize it and alter its ownership.
