GAZA, May 25, 2025 (WAFA) – A displaced Palestinian family from Rafah was killed on Sunday afternoon when Israeli warplanes targeted a tent sheltering them in Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza.
According to medical sources cited by WAFA correspondent, five family members—including two children—were killed in the airstrike on the al-Masha’ala area of the city, where they had been sheltering after fleeing earlier bombardments.
The attack comes amid continued Israeli aerial assaults across the Gaza Strip. Over the past 24 hours alone, 52 Palestinians—most of them women and children—have been killed in strikes on various parts of the besieged territory, according to medical officials.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 53,901 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 122,593 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
