GAZA, May 24, 2025 (WAFA) – At least 12 Palestinian civilians were killed and dozens injured on Saturday in Israeli shelling of Khan Yunis and Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes bombed the Mawasi area of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip, killing at least five people and wounding 50 others.

They added that an Israeli drone targeted the home of the Al-Sharif family near Asdaa city, northwest of Khan Yunis, killing five civilians.

Medical sources stated that 21 people have been killed since dawn on Saturday in Israeli shelling of various areas of the Gaza Strip.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 53,822 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 122,382 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
