NABLUS, May 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Two Palestinian children, aged 13 and 17 years old respectively, were injured by live Israeli gunfire on Saturday evening in the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, its medical teams treated the child for two gunshot wounds and transferred them to a nearby hospital for further care. The incident occurred following an Israeli military raid on the village.
Local sources reported hearing gunfire near the illegal Israeli settlement of Homesh, which is built on the lands of the village. In the aftermath of the raid, Israeli forces also closed the Jenin-Nablus road at the entrance to Burqa, blocking vehicle traffic in the area.
