JENIN, May 17, 2025 (WAFA) – A young Palestinian man was injured on Saturday evening after being shot by Israeli occupation forces at the entrance to Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, its medics treated the man for a gunshot wound to the thigh at the western entrance — and transported him to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The Jenin refugee camp has been under an ongoing Israeli military offensive and siege for 117 consecutive days. Israeli forces have been preventing people from accessing their homes in the camp, frequently opening live fire and subjecting anyone approaching the camp entrances to detention and physical assault.
