SALFIT, May 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces shot and injured a Palestinian youth on Saturday evening in the town of Bruqin, located in the central West Bank province of Salfit, before detaining him while he was wounded.

Local sources told WAFA that the incident occurred in the Al-Balatah area of Bruqin, where Israeli soldiers opened fire on the young man, causing injuries of unknown severity. Despite his condition, he was detained on the spot.

This incident comes amid a broader Israeli military offensive targeting the towns of Bruqin and Kafr ad-Dik, now entering its third consecutive day. The assault has involved a tightened siege, daily incursions, home raids, arrests, and land bulldozing operations near civilian homes.
