JERICHO, December 13, 2024 – Colonists Friday night attacked the Arab Al-Malihat Bedouin community, located northwest of Jericho, according to a local official.

Hasan Mleihat, head of the al-Baydar Association for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, told WAFA that a group of colonists launched an assault on the Bedouin gathering in the Al-Mu'arrajat area, however, residents fended off the attack and forced colonist to leave the area.

Israeli occupation forces and colonists have escalated their attacks on Palestinian Bedouin communities. These assaults led to the displacement of five Bedouin communities, comprising 18 families and 118 individuals, during the first half of the year.

This is in addition to 24 other communities, consisting of 266 families (1,517 people), that were forcibly displaced since October 7, 2023, according to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.
