BETHLEHEM, December 8, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists set fire to a tent and assaulted a Palestinian man and his family in the village of Al-Minya, southeast of Bethlehem, early this morning, according to local sources.
Zaid Kawazba, head of the Al-Minya Village Council, told WAFA that a group of colonists burned a tent containing animal feed in the Wadi al-Abiad area of the village, which belongs to local resident Ahmad Kamal al-Tarwa.
He pointed out that this act of arson comes just one day after another of al-Tarwa’s tents, used for housing, was also set on fire by the colonists.
Kawazba added that the colonists attacked al-Tarwa and his family members, creating a state of panic and fear, and forcibly expelled them from their land.
The colonists have recently escalated their attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property in the Al-Minya area, including burning trees and crops, and seizing livestock equipment.
This incident is part of a broader pattern of violence and intimidation by colonists in the occupied West Bank, with Palestinian communities regularly facing harassment, property damage, and displacement.
