Israeli forces deport three international solidarity activists

HEBRON, October 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities decided on Monday to deport three international solidarity activists after detaining them in Hebron over alleged filming of soldiers and a military site.

In a statement, the Israeli police said that soldiers stopped the activists on Sunday evening near the permanently staffed Bab al-Zawiya checkpoint, which separates the neighborhood of Tel Rumeidah from Area H1 which is under Palestinian security control.

Israeli police added that soldiers subsequently detained the activists for questioning. Their case was subsequently referred to the Israeli Population and Immigration Authority, which decided to deport them within 24 hours and transfer them to a detention facility pending implementation of the decision.

The police claimed that one of the detained women heads the French solidarity association Agir pour la Palestine and is active in the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, describing her as an “extremist activist,” without disclosing the activists’ nationalities.

The incident comes amid an escalation in attacks by Israeli occupation forces and colonists against defenseless Palestinian civilians, particularly during the olive harvest season.

The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) said that it had documented 219 attacks by occupation forces and colonists since the beginning of October, including 136 attacks related to the olive harvest season. These included denying farmers access to their olive groves, assaulting them, stealing crops, and damaging trees.
