HEBRON, October 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Armed colonists cut power lines supplying several Palestinian homes in Wadi al-A'war, east of Hebron, on Monday—marking the sixth consecutive time this has occurred.
Farid Burqan, head of the Birin Village Council, told WAFA that a group of colonists from the recently established "Adorin" outpost—built on Palestinian land in the area—severed the power lines supplying approximately 20 homes in the Wadi al-A'war locality (part of Birin) for the sixth time in a row.
He added that residents of the area are subjected to constant attacks by colonists and occupation forces. These include home demolitions, the bulldozing of their lands, blockades, and severe restrictions on movement, all intended to pressure and forcibly displace them from the area.
It is noteworthy that an elderly woman, 79, sustained moderate injuries in the same area about three days ago after a dog, unleashed at her by settlers, mauled the upper part of her thigh.
