RAMALLAH, October 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces prevented farmers this Monday morning from entering their lands in the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, to harvest olives, and forced them to leave the area.
Local sources reported that occupation forces barred residents from accessing their lands in the "Al-Shouna" area to harvest olives and compelled them to depart.
According to the latest data, the Commission recorded 19 settler attacks two days ago targeting olive harvesters, farmers, and their property. These incidents included the burning of a vehicle, the uprooting of over 50 olive trees in the town of Qusra (south of Nablus), attacks on olive harvesters in several West Bank villages, and the shooting and wounding of a farmer in the Salfit Governorate.
The Commission's data also indicated that attacks by the occupation army and settlers on crops during August 2026 affected 21,508 trees—including 19,375 olive trees—highlighting the extent of the damage inflicted upon the agricultural sector and the livelihoods of Palestinian farmers.
