Palestinian sustains injury in colonist attack south of Nablus

NABLUS, October 12, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian on Monday evening sustained an injury due to an attack by Israeli colonists in the village of Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

The PRCS reported that its crews provided first aid treatment to a 52-year-old man after being beaten up and pepper-sprayed by Israeli colonists and later transported him to a hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, colonists attacked a Palestinian man and his vehicle on the Wadi ash-Shaer road between the village of Lubban al-Sharqiya and the city of Salfit, extensively damaging the vehicle, as confirmed by local sources.

They added that local villagers subsequently managed to reach the scene and move the man and his vehicle to a safe area.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
