GAZA, December, 6, 2024 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation authorities released 18 Palestinian citizens from the Gaza Strip on Saturday, who had been detained since the ground invasion of the Strip on October 27, 2023.
The 18 released prisoners were transferred to the Gaza European Hospital in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency that one of the released prisoners was injured in his left leg.
According to the testimonies of those previously released, the detainees were subjected to "beating, torture, insults and interrogation by the occupation army throughout the period of detention."
Since the ground invasion of the Strip began, the occupation army has detained thousands of citizens, including women and children, and workers in health and civil defense crews, while a small number of them were later released, while the fate of the others remains unknown.
