Israeli forces detain 15 Palestinians in West Bank raids

HEBRON, Thursday, September 15, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Thursday overnight detained 15 Palestinians from the West Bank, according to local and security sources.

They said that Israeli forces rounded up four Palestinians, including a former prisoner, from Sai‘r town, northeast of Hebron.

The heavily-armed soldiers rounded two brothers after storming and ransacking their family house in Yatta city, south of Hebron.

They also conducted a raid in Surif town, northwest of the southern West Bank city, ransacked several houses and eventually detained two others.

The sources added that soldiers manning a flying checkpoint at Karantina area in the Old City of Hebron stopped and detained another.

Meanwhile, a convoy of military vehicles stormed Kafr Ra'i town, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, where the soldiers detained two others, including a former prisoner.

The soldiers showed up at a house in the nearby town of Jaba‘, forcibly entered it, conducted a thorough search and detained another.

The soldiers detained three others in a raid that resulted in the killing of 17-year-old Oday Salah in Kufr Dan village, west of Jenin.

The three detainees were identified as relatives of Ahmad and Abdul-Rahman Abed, who killed an Israeli army soldier in a firefight near the village of Jalamah and were slain afterwards on early Wednesday morning.
