LONDON, September 6, 2026 (WAFA) — British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband described as “horrific” the testimonies he heard from humanitarian and medical workers operating in the Gaza Strip, including accounts of medicines being blocked and children dying while waiting for life-saving medical treatment.
Miliband made the remarks following a meeting with aid and medical personnel and workers from international humanitarian organizations, including people who had recently returned from Gaza and others who participated remotely while working inside the Strip.
In a video message following the meeting, Miliband said he was shocked by the accounts shared by those working on the ground and called on the British government to take “more decisive” action over the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
He said the testimonies revealed “horrific” humanitarian conditions, including accounts of medical supplies failing to reach people in need and children dying while awaiting vital, life-saving treatment.
