Colonists begin opening colonial road near Ni'lin, west of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, September 6, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists today began opening a colonial road through Palestinian-owned land near the town of Naalin, west of Ramallah.

Local sources said that the colonists, accompanied by two bulldozers, raided the town and began opening the road in the Wadi Ni'lin area to the north.

The road, which is expected to extend for up to five kilometers, aims to reach the Jabal al-Alem area, which colonists seized in 2021 and where they established a pastoral colonial outpost.

The move comes amid a broader escalation in attacks by Israeli forces and colonists against Palestinian land and property across the occupied West Bank. The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission documented 2,030 such attacks during August 2026 alone.
